Now onto the story...
December 15th - Lenny aka Futura arrived last night in Hong Kong at 7:26pm after attending the NIKE AF-1 party in NY, we had dinner and chilled a bit and called it a night. We had a big week ahead of us.
December 16th - Today the crew met up at 4pm and hit the studio to check out the spot. Organized the 20 canvas and had a bit of a brainstorm session. After that we had dinner. Tomorrow is when all the work starts, I will be picking up the crew and hit the studio at 12pm, we need to prep all the canvases and hopefully the first series will be finished monday or tuesday. I will start photoshooting the stages as we go along.
CK asked me if I could arrange a autograph session for him so I will post those up too. also keep an eye on futura's site (http://www.reconstore.com/forums/mvnforum/...&offset=350) I think he may post some pics up as well. He's always snapping away with his digital cam.
Tomorrow (December 17th) we will be working through the night I guess and micheal lau's thing is on tomorrow night as well! Futura is in HK but not for micheal lau’s show!!! We got love for everyone, but works gotta come first and we all know Lenny is putting in WORK! You guys put 2+2 together.

Prepping the canvases. Let's let the pics speak for themselves

Prepping a series of 12 750x750mm canvas...

The master at work. No final pictures until the show.
Details: The exhibition will be held on the 21st of December at the Silly Thing shop in Chai Wan, Hong Kong.
Keep checking Futura's forum for his own pics, I am sure he will post up daily as well. And be sure to check back here for more pics and details!!!

December 18th – Today we all met up in the studio after lunch, Futura started on the biggest piece which is made up of 2 canvas that are 1650x1275mm a piece. The concept is to feel a strong force rushing through space. Futura has used the spray cans to slice through the canvas with a range of browns, olives and greens on a grey background, which is meant to merge with the concrete wall where this piece will be hung. The movement is fast and precise, without any hesitation, it is awesome to see a master at work.

December 19th - Today Futura mainly put the finishing touches to the 5 middle sized paintings. After work we met up with TK from Sillything for a fantastic korean dinner and planned the details of the exhibition. After a long days work we retreated to Futura's room and chilled for the rest of the evening watching episodes of "The Office" from his IPod connected to the TV in the room, that show cracks me up!!!

December 20th - today Futura put the finishing touches to the largest canvases, he added highlights of bright yellow and white, with some shading of the darker colors as well, this really brought the piece to motion, and while I was looking at it, I noticed how even the tones were and your eyes would just follow the movement. Awesome stuff. In the afternoon Juno (HK Artist) arrived with his crew for a Photo session and Interview with Futura.

December 21st - Finishing touches. SATURDAY MORNING LIVE GRAFFING SESSION ON SILLYTHING EXTERNAL WALL!!!
This morning we had an early start and Futura started the series of 12 of the smaller pieces, each canvas was prepared on the first day and Fu got out the big fat red marker today and went crazy! After he drew up the rough outlines he applied
black paint to the background of the "dudes". Then Futura applier some splatter effects and also used some white markers for the detailing of the figures. All the paintings were finished by the after noon and TK (Sillything) arrived to check out the final products before we hang them in his shop tomorrow afternoon. There are rumours that Fu will be doing a live grafing
session on the shopfront wall sometime tomorrow night or early in saturday morning before the opening of the exhibition. It's gonna be a blast for sure!

December 22nd - This morning we moved all the finished pieces down to the SillyThing showroom for the
opening of the exhibition tomorrow, after deciding where everything went, Futura and the crew headed back
to the studio to finish up on the final piece of the whole series, Futura mentioned that this guy (in the painting) has been around since the early eighties and has returned to HK after all these years to chill in ST showroom for a bit! Amazingly, the lines on the final piece matched perfectly to where it is supposed to be hung, we were amazed on how that just kind of happened and it felt like the painting was meant to only be hung in that spot!
After that Futura did a photo session with SillyThing's TK and then we headed back to the hotel. Although we planned a live graf session tonight, Futura decided it would be better to do it just before the opening tomorrow morning, so now it will be held at around 11:30am to 12:00, exhibition will open to the public at 1pm.

As always credit where credit is due.
